black & white photography

A selection of black & white photographs I have taken over the years. I have always been interested in textures and lighting when working with this relatively monochromatic medium. I processed and printed all of these images myself and fell in love with working in darkrooms in high school. The editing experience is so unique, manual, and removed from the digital world, I love working with my hands. The analog process is quite complex yet has been a source of tranquility and satisfaction for me, the stillness of the space is invigorating! I tend to make my images relatively dark, I love the drama and moody atmosphere it can create, even a subtle romance.
